FAILURE TO APPEAR WARRANT, FUGITIVE FROM STATE OF TEXAS –
KARL RICHARDSON, JR.

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Karl Richardson, Jr., 27, 125 Nora T. Lane, Thibodaux, LA, on a warrant charging him with Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on a misdemeanor speeding violation. Karl Richardson, Jr. was previously cited for speeding and ordered to appear in court for trial on September 27, 2023. Karl Richardson, Jr. failed to appear as ordered resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest on October 2, 2023.

Karl Richardson, Jr. was arrested by the Thibodaux Police Department on June 1, 2024 and released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on June 4, 2024.

During processing, deputies determined that Karl Richardson, Jr. was wanted by the State of Texas on robbery charges.

Karl Richardson, Jr. was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a count of:

*Speeding
*Fugitive Warrant – Dallas Texas for Robbery

Karl Richardson, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing on the speeding charge.

Karl Richardson, Jr. remains incarcerated without bond on the robbery charges. The State of Texas will begin the extradition process to return Richardson to the State of Texas to answer the robbery charges.
