FAILURE TO APPEAR – FELONY GUN LAW VIOLATIONS
MICKEY JERNELL SIMMONS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Mickey Jernell Simmons, 36, of 706 Pine Street, Donaldsonville, LA, on a warrant charging him with Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on charges related to gun law violations.
Mickey Jernell Simmons was previously arrested in Assumption Parish and as a result of that arrest was ordered to appear in court on August 15, 2022. Simmons failed to appear as ordered resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest on August 16, 2022.
Mickey Jernell Simmons was arrested by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office on October 21, 2023 on local charges there. Simmons was transferred to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on November 17, 2023 and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Failure to Appear in Court on August 15, 2022 on Counts of:
-Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
-Illegal Carrying of a Weapon When Used in a Violent Crime or in the Presence
of Controlled Dangerous Substances
Mickey Jernell Simmons remains incarcerated pending bond proceedings.
