FAILURE TO APPEAR/AGGRAVATED FLIGHT/DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – JAMES HARRIS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of James Harris, 19, of 505 Jefferson Street, Napoleonville, La., on felony charges resulting from a Wednesday afternoon incident in Napoleonville.
An I.C.E. assigned deputy attempted to stop an off-road vehicle on Wednesday in the Gold Street Park area. The operator did not yield to the attempted stop and fled. A short time later, the suspect vehicle loss control and crashed on a nearby farm to market road. The operator fled but was quickly apprehended as deputies pursued him.
The suspect, now identified as James Harris, was arrested. Harris was wanted on a failure to appear warrant.
James Harris was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility on charges of:
*Failure to Appear (Assumption Parish-Possession of Marijuana)
*Resisting an Officer
*Possession of Marijuana (2nd Offense)
*Speeding
*Operating Off Road Vehicle on Public Roadway
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
James Harris was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
