NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Frederick Lee Diggs, 44, of 154 North Georgette St, Napoleonville, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from an ongoing parish wide narcotics investigation.
As part of that investigation, narcotics agents developed information indicating that Frederick Lee Diggs was trafficking in illegal narcotics in the area within Assumption Parish. Agents secured probable cause to obtain a search warrant for a residence located at 155 Georgette Street, south of Napoleonville.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office executed that search warrant and did seize a quantity of suspected crack cocaine. As deputies converged on the property, the suspect now identified as Frederick Lee Diggs attempted to destroy evidence.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Frederick Lee Diggs was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession / Manufacture / Distribution of Crack Cocaine
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The investigation was a combined effort between the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office and the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Falcon thanks St. Mary Parish for their assistance.
Frederick Lee Diggs remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
