DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Mitchell Wayne Bodin, 31, of 2216 Lee Drive, Pierre Part, LA, on drug charges following a traffic stop near Belle Rose on Wednesday.

A deputy, working the Intensified Criminal Enforcement Unit, observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Mitchell Wayne Bodin.

The deputy made observations of certain items which were suspicious in nature.

At some point, the vehicle was searched and a quantity of dangerous controlled substances was located.

Mitchell Wayne Bodin was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Adderall
*Sale, Distribution or Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription or Order
Prohibited
*Driving Under suspension
*Following too Closely
*Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection Tag

Mitchell Wayne Bodin was released on a $15,600.00 bond.

A passenger in Bodin’s vehicle, Corey Breaux, 43, of 111 Simone Street, Pierre Part, LA, was issued a misdemeanor summons for Possession of Marijuana and released.
