DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – BLAINE EDWARD PARFAIT
BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Blaine Edward Parfait, 53, of 317 Aristle Road, Bayou L’Ourse, La., on felony domestic abuse related charges stemming from a December 26, 2020 incident in Bayou L’Ourse.
On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a call for assistance related to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Aristle Road.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the suspect’s fiancé. Deputies were advised that Blaine Edward Parfait had become violent, repeatedly striking the victim and accosting her with a knife and a gun.
Deputies did identify injuries to the victim consistent with her description of events. Those injuries did require medical treatment.
Additionally, Blaine Edward Parfait hampered the ability of the victim to call for emergency assistance by disabling a telecommunications device.
Deputies did recover a firearm at the scene. Blaine Edward Parfait had already left the area prior to deputies arriving.
As a result of this incident, warrants were obtained for the arrest of Blaine Edward Parfait.
Blaine Edward Parfait surrendered on Monday evening and was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*False Imprisonment – Offender Armed with a Dangerous Weapon
*Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
*Domestic Abuse Battery
*Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault
*Interfering with Emergency Communications
Blaine Edward Parfait remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
