DOMESTIC INCIDENT – PROBATION – PAROLE VIOLATION

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Herbert Simmons, 47, of 713 Paul Fredrick Street, Luling, LA, on charges arising from a domestic incident which occurred on July 17, 2023, in the 100 block of Peterville Lane in Klotzville.

On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a residence on Peterville Lane and made contact with the complainant. The deputy noted visible injuries to the complainant. The victim / complainant was visibly upset and advised deputies that she was involved in a physical altercation with her domestic partner. The complainant advised that she was awakened by her partner now identified as Herbert Simmons beating on her. The victim attempted to flee her assailant, but he followed her and continued beating her. The suspect left the area prior to the deputies’ arrival.

At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies applied for and were granted an arrest warrant charging Herbert Simmons with domestic abuse battery.

Herbert Simmons was arrested on local charges in Lafourche Parish on April 1, 2024.

Herbert Simmons was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on May 7, 2024 and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Domestic Abuse Battery
*Probation / Parole Detainer

Herbert Simmons is being held on a $7500 bond for the domestic charge and was ordered held without bond on the Probation / Parole detainer.
