DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE – MICHAEL THOMAS WOODS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Michael Thomas Woods, 33, of 4242 Manda Road, Torbert, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a disturbance at a residence in the 4600 block of LA 308 near Napoleonville on Thursday evening.
Deputies were dispatched to a call in reference to a female being held against her will. Deputies made contact with the complainant as well as the accused, Michael Thomas Woods. The complainant advised that there was a disagreement between her and Michael Thomas Woods which led to a disturbance. Michael Thomas Woods would not allow the complainant to leave, nor call law-enforcement.
At some point the victim was able to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
During the investigation, deputies determined that a protective order filed by the victim was in full force against Michael Thomas Woods.
At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies determined that probable cause existed to file criminal charges against Michael Thomas Woods.
Deputies arrested Michael Thomas Woods and booked him into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Battery of a Dating Partner
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
*False Imprisonment
*Violation of Protective Orders
*Interfering with Emergency Communications
Michael Thomas Woods remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
