DOMESTIC ABUSE – PROBATION VIOLATION
DAVID RUSSELL HAMMOND, JR.
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of David Russell Hammond, Jr., 45, of 317 Maple Street, Labadieville, LA in connection to an incident that occurred on or about September 8, 2023.
On September 11, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a location near Labadieville in reference to a domestic incident. Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that three days prior, she and her husband, now identified as David Russell Hammond, Jr., had an argument that turned physical at which time Hammond allegedly committed a battery upon her. While investigating the September 8th complaint, the alleged victim reported that David Russell Hammond, Jr., had committed a battery upon her again, this occasion occurring on September 11, 2023. David Russell Hammond, Jr. was not present while deputies were interviewing the victim. Deputies secured an arrest warrant for Hammond.
On November 16, 2023, deputies responded to another complaint of a disturbance at the Maple Street address. The deputy responding was aware that a warrant existed for the arrest of David Russell Hammond, Jr.
Deputies located David Russell Hammond, Jr., arrested him and booked him into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Domestic Abuse Battery – Bond Set at $5,000
*Detainer – Louisiana Department of Corrections – Probation Violation – Ordered held without bond.
