DOMESTIC ABUSE BATTERY – FUGITIVE WARRANT
ST. JAMES PARISH – KASEY A. CARTER
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the Thursday arrest of Kasey A. Carter, 31, of 139 Virginia Street, Belle Rose, LA, on charges related to a domestic incident.
On November 16, 2019, deputies responded to a complaint of a domestic nature near Paincourtville. The complainant advised deputies of a sequence of events that culminated in Kasey A. Carter striking her multiple times, stealing her keys and cell phone. She and Carter had been domestic partners. Carter was no longer at the location.
Based on all contributing factors, deputies secured an arrest warrant for Carter.
On Thursday, Carter was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Domestic Abuse Battery
*Fugitive Warrant for St. James Parish
Carter remains incarcerated with a bond set at $2500.
Upon satisfying local charges, Carter will be transferred to the custody of St. James Parish.
