DOMESTIC ABUSE BATTERY, CRUELTY TO THE INFIRMED
MARSHALL W. BOURGEOIS

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Marshall W. Bourgeois, 49, of 121 Timothy Street, Pierre Part, LA, on charges related to a domestic incident against an 81-year-old infirmed female.

On Thursday morning, deputies were dispatched to the aforementioned address after a third-party complainant reported possible abuse of an elderly victim.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with persons at the residence including Marshall W. Bourgeois and the elderly victim. Both were interviewed. Deputies were able to determine that the victim had been physically assaulted by him. Evidence indicated that Marshall W. Bourgeois had thrown a book and a television remote at the victim, then grabbed her by the face and knees and violently shook her. Bourgeois is further accused of exposing his buttocks to the victim. Deputies further compiled evidence that Bourgeois was under the influence of controlled dangerous substances at the time of the attack.

Marshall W. Bourgeois was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Domestic Abuse Battery
*Cruelty to the Infirmed

Bourgeois remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
