DISTURBANCE – STABBING INCIDENT

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Latisha Shankeshia Davis, 40, of 110 Pugh Street, Paincourtville, LA, on felony charges arising out of a domestic disturbance.

On April 1, 2021, deputies were dispatched to 110 Pugh Street in connection to a disturbance and upon arrival made contact with the alleged victim.

Deputies learned that the victim had an argument with her girlfriend and that led to the victim being stabbed in the back. Deputies were able to identify the potential suspect as Latisha Shankeshia Davis.

During the ensuing investigation, deputies did recover a weapon as well as some evidence corroborating the victim’s description of events.

The suspect had departed the scene but on April 2, 2021 a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Latisha Shankeshia Davis was arrested on Monday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:

*Aggravated Second Degree Battery

Latisha Shankeshia Davis was released on a $250,000 bond.
