DISTURBANCE – AGGRAVATED ASSAULT UPON A PEACE OFFICER –
(2 COUNTS) – LEEROY J. PLAISANCE
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Leeroy J. Plaisance, 33, of 119 Claiborne Street, Pierre Part, LA, on felony charges arising from a disturbance at a residence in Pierre Part on Friday morning.
On the aforementioned date, Deputies came upon a disturbance at the aforementioned address which continued to escalate. Additional deputies arrived and made contact with the individuals, one of which was now identified as Leeroy J. Plaisance. During a conversation with deputies, Leeroy J. Plaisance made threats towards two of the on-scene deputies. At some point, Leeroy J. Plaisance ran into a residence and quickly exited and now was in possession of a dangerous weapon in each hand. Plaisance began swinging the weapons in a dangerous manner towards the deputies. The suspect eventually ran back into the residence and barricaded himself within.
Deputies eventually made entry into the home and arrested Leeroy J. Plaisance. Deputies booked Leeroy J. Plaisance into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Aggravated Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Upon a Peace Officer – 2 Counts
*Disturbing the Peace
*Resisting an Officer
*Public Intimidation, Threats / Retaliation
Leeroy J. Plaisance remains incarcerated with bond set at $100,000.
