DISTURBANCE – ANTHONY JAMES EWELL
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Anthony James Ewell, 58, of 3372 Back Marais Street, Napoleonville, LA, on multiple charges arising from a disturbance south of Napoleonville, LA on Monday.
Deputies were dispatched to the location and made contact with the complainant / victim. Deputies were advised that Anthony James Ewell was throwing bricks at her home. Additional units were dispatched when the first arriving deputy radioed that he was involved in a physical confrontation with a suspect, now identified as Anthony James Ewell. While deputies were present, they witnessed verbal threats toward the complainant as well as her residence.
Anthony James Ewell allegedly struck the deputy during the confrontation.
Deputies were able to arrest Ewell.
Based on witness accounts, physical evidence and home security footage, Anthony James Ewell was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Terrorizing
*Simple Assault
*Criminal Mischief
*Resisting an Officer
*Battery of a Police Officer
Anthony James Ewell remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
