DEPUTY JACOBY SHEPARD COMPLETES LEVEL II TRAINING
ACADEMY FOR CORRECTIONS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon is pleased to announce that Seargent Jacoby Shepard has successfully completed all the requirements necessary to attain the P.O.S.T. Level II Correctional Officer’s Certification.

Sgt. Shepard was first hired as a corrections officer in 2021 and attained the Level III Certification shortly thereafter.

Sgt. Shepard attended the Level II Correctional Officers Certification Academy in Lafourche Parish.

The academy instructs recruits in areas relating to constitutional law, criminal law, interpersonal communication, crisis intervention, ethics, and correctional procedures. The academy lasted 3 months.

Sgt. Shepard participated in Tuesday night’s commencement activities in Thibodaux.

Sgt. Shepard returns to continue his duties at the Assumption Parish Detention Center.

Sheriff Leland Falcon and all of us at the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office congratulates Sgt. Shepard on his graduation and we look forward to him continuing his tour of duty as a public servant.
