DEATH OF RETIRED CAREER DEPUTY
MR. ROLAND GAUTHREAUX
NAPOLEONVILLE – On behalf of the entire Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office and all residents of the Parish, Sheriff Leland Falcon is saddened to report the death of retired deputy, Mr. Roland Gauthreaux, 85, of Labadieville, LA. Deputy Gauthreaux passed away following a brief illness on Sunday.
“Mr. Roland Gauthreaux served for over 26 years as a uniformed patrol deputy prior to his retirement. Deputy Gauthreaux gave of himself unselfishly and was a vocal force in making Assumption Parish a better place to live with our families”, Sheriff Falcon said.
Sheriff Falcon extends all of our heartfelt condolences and prayers for Roland’s wife, Theresa, son Brent and family.
Deputy Gauthreaux was also a 6-year veteran of the Korean War as an Army soldier.
We send our heartfelt thanks to Deputy Gauthreaux for his tremendous sacrifices to both our Parish and the United States of America. May his family find peace at this most difficult time.
Due to the current national emergency, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
