PIERRE PART– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Christopher F. Landry, Jr., 29, of 116 Mam and Pap Drive, Pierre Part, LA, on charges related to financial transactions that were not authorized.
On August 6, 2019, deputies responded to a complaint in Pierre Part related to the theft and forgery of a check.
Detectives initiated an investigation and determined that Christopher Landry had stolen a check from the victim and caused the name and signature of the victim to be forged.
The check was cashed at a local business.
During the investigation, detectives also determined that Christopher Landry had made unauthorized transactions on an access card owned by the victim.
Detectives traveled to St. Charles Parish to interview Landry who was incarcerated in that parish on unrelated charges.
As a result of that interview, detectives filed arrest warrants on Landry.
On Friday, Christopher F. Landry, Jr., was transported to Assumption Parish and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Bank Fraud (3 Counts)
*Forgery
*Theft Under $1000
Landry remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
