ARREST WARRANT – RESISTING AN OFFICER
GORDON LAWRENCE JONES, JR.
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Gordon Lawrence Jones, Jr., 39, of 255 Hwy. 400, Napoleonville, LA arising from a pursuit in the Napoleonville area.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle being driven by a suspect known to the officer to have an active arrest warrant and proceeded to stop that vehicle. Upon speaking to the driver, now identified as Gordon Lawrence Jones, Jr., the officer requested Mr. Jones to move his vehicle out of the line impeding traffic. Once inside his vehicle, Gordon Lawrence Jones, Jr. drove off onto the roadway, engaging a pursuit.
Gordon Lawrence Jones, Jr. was eventually detained, arrested, and brought to the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Speeding
*Violation of Stop Sign (No Injury)
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Resisting an Officer
*Failure to Appear Warrant
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer (Felony)
Gordon Lawrence Jones, Jr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
