AGGRAVATED CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
TYREKE TAJUAN JAMES, WAYNE SULLIVAN
BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tyreke Tajuan James, 18, of 111 Grant Loop Road, Paincourtville, LA and the issuance of felony arrest warrants for Wayne Sullivan, 18, of 112 Sugar Street, Paincourtville, LA, in connection to a reported shooting incident near Plattenville, LA.
On April 4, 2022, deputies responded to the complaint and made contact with the caller.
Detectives initiated an investigation and determined that an altercation had occurred at the establishment near Plattenville at which time Wayne Sullivan allegedly struck the complainant. At some point, Sullivan produced a firearm and fired several shots from a vehicle at the complainant’s vehicle striking it several times. Detectives located evidence verifying such.
Detectives believe that Tyreke Tajuan James was complicit in the crimes as he was the driver of the vehicle Sullivan fired from and James’ action before and after the shootings.
Detectives initiated an investigation and determined an altercation had occurred at an establishment near Plattenville at which time Wayne Sullivan allegedly struck the complainant. At some point, Sullivan produced a firearm and fired several shots from a vehicle striking the complainant’s vehicle several times. Detectives located evidence consistent with the course of events as reported.
Detectives determined Tyreke Tajuan James as the operator of vehicle from which Sullivan fired.
At the conclusion of the investigation, detectives filed charges as follows:
*Tyreke Tajuan James was charged and subsequently arrested for:
-Accessory After the Fact to Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
Tyreke Tajuan James surrendered himself to authorities on Wednesday and was released after posting a $100,000.00 bond.
Law enforcement is actively seeking to arrest Wayne Sullivan on charges of:
*Simple Battery
*Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
*Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
*Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities
*Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
