AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – MONTRELL LAWRENCE GARRISON

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Montrell Lawrence Garrison, 29, of 184 Hedgeford Drive, Gray, LA, on aggravated assault charges arising from an incident early Monday morning at a residence in the 100 block of Ryder Lane near Labadieville.
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a reported armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the complainant who advised he had been robbed at gunpoint by a female.
Deputies initiated an investigation and were able to determine that the complainant Montrell Lawrence Garrison was a party to a disturbance at the Ryder Street address where several individuals were present. Witnesses indicated that the complainant at some point during the altercation, brandished a knife and began swinging the knife wildly towards individuals that were present. Several witnesses were able to subdue Montrell Lawrence Garrison and disarm him. Deputies were able to determine that there were no armed robbery that occurred.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Montrell Lawrence Garrison was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Aggravated Assault (2 Counts)
Montrell Lawrence Garrison remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
