FELONY WARRANT – AGGRAVATED FLIGHT – I.C.E. ARREST– MAKI KYREE JOHNSON
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Maki Kyree Johnson, 20, of 111 Gold Street, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising from a traffic incident involving off road vehicles on LA 70 East on Friday, December 27, 2024.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail responded to a complaint of multiple off-road vehicles (dirt bikes), driving recklessly on roadways near the Plattenville community.
The deputy located as many as 10 dirt bikes on the roadway, driving recklessly and creating dangerous conditions for the motoring public.
As the deputy attempted to conduct a stop of those dirt bikes, most fled the area and remained on the roadway causing several near collisions with automobiles. Deputies were able to identify Maki Kyree Johnson and obtained warrants for this arrest.
Maki Kyree Johnson was arrested on Tuesday morning and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Maki Kyree Johnson was incarcerated and released on a $20,000 bond.
