FAILURE TO APPEAR – FELONY DRUG CHARGES

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jason J. Matthews, Sr., of 178 North Friendship Lane, Amelia, LA, on a warrant charging him with Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on felony charges.
Jason J. Matthews, Sr. was previously arrested in Assumption Parish and as a result of that arrest was ordered to appear in court on November 06, 2023. Jason J. Matthews, Sr. failed to appear as ordered resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest on November 8, 2023.
Jason J. Matthews, Sr. was arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on local charges there on September 12, 2024. Jason J. Matthews, Sr. was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on Monday, October 7, 2024.
Jason J. Matthews, Sr. was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Failure to Appear in Court on November 06, 2023, on a Count of:
-Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Drug
Jason J. Matthews, Sr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
