TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION – I.C.E. ARREST

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Corey Pettis Williams-Johnson, 43, of 714 Conti Street, Laura, Mississippi and Charles Alexander Pumilia, 42, of 2260 25th B NE, Washington, D.C., on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on U.S. 90 near Bayou L’Ourse on Saturday afternoon.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Corey Pettis Williams-Johnson and conducted an officer / violator interview. The deputy then proceeded to interview the passenger, now identified as Charles Alexander Pumilia. At the conclusion of occupant interviews, the deputy believed that additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested consent to search the vehicle which was granted.
During a search of the suspect vehicle, a quantity of methamphetamine was seized.
Corey Pettis Williams-Johnson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*No Seat Belt
*Improper Lane Usage
Corey Pettis Williams-Johnson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Charles Alexander Pumilia was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
