FELONY FUGITIVE ARREST – AVONTE R. JAMISON
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Avonte R. Jamison, 29, of 3229 Delaune Street, Labadieville, LA, on a felony fugitive warrant from the Thibodaux City Police Department following a traffic stop on Delaune Street.
On Friday, April 26, 2024, a uniformed patrol deputy observed a northbound vehicle on LA 1 commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The suspect vehicle continued on for a distance before turning onto Cancienne Road. The vehicle continued on and then turned onto Delaune Street. The deputy was able to stop the vehicle, then made contact with the driver now identified as Avonte R. Jamison. During a warrants check, Jamison was identified as a fugitive wanted by the Thibodaux City Police Department on a felony fugitive warrant.
Avonte R. Jamison was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Fugitive – Thibodaux City Police Department – Unauthorized Use of an Access Card
*Flight from an Officer
*Driving on Roadway Landed for Traffic
Avonte R. Jamison remains incarcerated with bond set at $25,000.
