MULTIPLE FAILURE TO APPEAR WARRANTS – DRUG VIOLATION

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Alessie Elizabeth Landry, 39, of 131 Verda Street, Pierre Part, LA, on multiple failure to appear warrants as well as introducing contraband into the parish detention center following her arrest on April 12, 2024.
A uniformed patrol deputy went to a residence in the 4000 block of LA 70 in an attempt to arrest Alessie Elizabeth Landry on multiple failure to appear warrants. Deputies located Alessie Elizabeth Landry and arrested her. At the time of her arrest, Landry had two bags of personal belongings in her possession. Landry was asked multiple times if she had any unlawful contraband in her belongings and each time denied the same.
Alessie Elizabeth Landry was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish on a Count of Criminal Mischief
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish on a Count of Enter / Remaining in Places after Being Forbidden
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish on Counts of Hit & Run Driving, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things
*Possession of Ritalin with Intent to Distribute (50) doses
*Taking Contraband to/from a Penal Institution (Illegal Drugs in Personal Belongings)
Alessie Elizabeth Landry remains incarcerated with bond set at $40,100.
