SIMPLE CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY (FELONY),
PROBATION VIOLATION – JAMAL DONTE WESTLEY
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jamal Donte Westley, 27, of 119, Alvin Street, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising from an incident that occurred in the 100 block of Alvin Street, near Napoleonville on November 29, 2023.
On the aforementioned date, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Alvin Street in reference to damage intentionally caused to a rental property.
Investigating deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that Jamal Donte Westley had caused damage to a rental property by intentionally clogging drains causing water to flood the interior of the structure in question. Jamal Donte Westley had an indirect connection to the rental property and had caused the damage when the complainant evicted the tenant.
As a result of the investigation, deputies did secure information corroborating the complainant’s allegations. Warrants were obtained for the arrest of Jamal Donte Westley.
On Wednesday, Jamal Donte Westley was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
*Probation / Parole Violation
Jamal Donte Westley remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing on the criminal charges.
Westley was ordered held without bond on the probation / parole violation.
