WARRANT – FAILURE TO APPEAR / WARRANT – POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE – VONTRELL J. STEWARD
BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Vontrell J. Steward 33, of 1218 Highway 30, Gonzales, LA on multiple warrants arising from a traffic stop on LA 308 near Belle Rose early Saturday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a northbound vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Vontrell J. Steward and engaged the subject in an officer / violator interview. The deputy conducted a warrants check and determined that Steward was wanted on multiple warrants from Ascension Parish.
Vontrell J. Steward was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Charges of:
*Failure to Appear in Court in Ascension Parish on charges of:
-Altered Motor Vehicle Inspection Tag
-Improper Display of a License Plate
*Warrant – Possession of Methamphetamine
Vontrell J. Steward remains incarcerated pending transfer to Ascension Parish.
