TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – I.C.E. ARRESTS
CONNIE M. LANOIX, KIM RAMAGOS KIRKLAND
BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Connie M. Lanoix, 64, of 135 Comeaux Street, Pierre Part, LA and Kim Ramagos Kirkland, 63, of 8227 Cottonwood Street, Sorento, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a Monday evening traffic stop near Belle Rose.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the Ice detail observed a vehicle in the area of LA 308 and Freetown Lane with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. As the deputy closed in on the vehicle, the suspect attempted to drive off but was quickly stopped. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Connie M. Lanoix. The deputy conducted an officer / violator interview. The deputy removed Lanoix from the vehicle, then proceeded to interview the passenger, now identified as Kim Ramagos Kirkland.
At the conclusion of those interviews, the deputy believed that additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. At the conclusion of that search, deputies conducted protective pat down searches of both Connie M Lanoix and Kim Ramagos Kirkland. Quantities of Methamphetamine and Hydrocodone were seized.
Connie M. Lanoix and Kim Ramagos Kirkland were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center as follows:
-Connie M. Lanoix
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine
*Possession of Hydrocodone
*Flight from an Officer
*License Plate Light Required
Connie M. Lanoix remains incarcerated with bond set at 35,000.
-Kim Ramagos Kirkland
*Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Hydrocodone
Kim Ramagos Kirkland remains incarcerated with bond set at $25,000.
