DISTURBANCE – RESISTING AN OFFICER – BATTERY

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Angie Mitchell, 48, of 115 Texaco Street, Pierre Part, LA, and Brice Adam Scully, 23, of 122 Cypress Street, Pierre Part, LA, on felony charges arising from a disturbance at a Pierre Part Lounge.
On Saturday evening, deputies working an assignment encountered an individual identified as Brice Adam Scully engaged in an argument with another individual. At some point, a deputy observed Brice Adam Scully strike the victim with a closed fist knocking him to the floor.
Deputies attempted to take Brice Adam Scully into custody at which time he resisted those efforts. At some point, deputies were able to subdue Scully. Shortly after the initial confrontation, Angie Mitchell allegedly rushed one of the deputies in an attempt to separate him from Brice Adam Scully.
After some resistance, Angie Mitchell was arrested. Both Angie Mitchell and Brice Adam Scully were booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Battery of a Police Officer
*Resisting an Officer – 2 Counts
Angie Mitchell was incarcerated and released on a $7,000 commercial bond.
Brice Adam Scully was incarcerated and released on a $20,000 commercial bond.
