BATTERY OF A DATING PARTNER – FAILURE TO APPEAR CHARGES
ASSUMPTION PARISH – MARK BROUSSARD, JR.
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Mark Broussard, Jr., 32, of 272 Vivian Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on a warrant for Failure to Appear in court in Assumption Parish and a second warrant related to an April 16, 2021, incident in Bayou L’Ourse.
On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a complaint relative to a disturbance in Bayou L’Ourse. The involved parties had left the area prior to deputies arriving. Deputies located the complainant who advised that he and Broussard were in a relationship and that an incident had occurred.
Deputies could not locate Mark Broussard, Jr. at the time and did secure an arrest warrant for him.
Mark Broussard, Jr. was incarcerated in St. Mary Parish. He was transported to Assumption Parish on Wednesday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Battery of a Dating Partner
*Disturbing the Peace
*Failure to Appear – Assumption Parish for Possession of Methamphetamine, Obstruction of Justice.
The above Failure to Appear was unrelated to the April 16, 2021, incident.
Mark Broussard, Jr. is also wanted on a fugitive warrant from Morgan City Police.
Mark Broussard, Jr. remains incarcerated pending bond proceedings.
