DEPUTY ARRESTED ON SEX CRIME CHARGES, FIRED
AUSTIN JOSEPH ISIBOR
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Austin Joseph Isibor, 23, of 121 Washington Street, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising out of a complaint filed by the father of a teenager.
Isibor, at the time of his arrest, was an Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Deputy assigned to the Uniformed Patrol Division where he worked since February 2022.
On May 6,2022, detectives responded to the complaint at which time it was alleged that the victim had engaged in sexual activity with Austin Joseph Isibor at his home on the aforementioned date.
As the investigation progressed, it was determined that Isibor had engaged in similar activity with the same girl in December of 2021, again at his residence.
Detectives requested and were granted multiple search warrants connected to this matter
As the investigation progressed, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Austin Joseph Isibor. Isibor was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile (Sex Offense-Registration Required) (2 Counts)
Isibor remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Austin Joseph Isibor was immediately terminated by Sheriff Leland Falcon. “We hold our employees to the highest of legal standards and no person is above the law when such incidents occur,” Sheriff Falcon said.
