TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jodi Rae Loyd, 40, of 15275 Highway 44, Gonzales, LA, on felony drug charges arising out of a traffic stop near Bertrandville, LA early Monday.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Jodi Rae Loyd. During the interview process, the deputy noted an odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the violator vehicle.
The deputy concluded that further investigation was warranted. The deputy requested consent to search the vehicle and Loyd granted such. During a search of the vehicle, deputies located marijuana, Adderall and Xanax.
Jodi Rae Loyd was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Prohibited Acts Schedule IV – To Wit Adderall and Xanax (Lorazepam)
Jodi Rae Loyd remains incarcerated with bond set at $50,000.
