TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
BRANDEN JOSEPH LANDRY and NICOLE LYNN GROS
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Branden Joseph Landry, 35, of 712 Highway 402, Napoleonville, LA and Nicole Lynn Gros, 41, of 134 Mary Ann Street, Pierre Part, LA, on felony drug charges resulting from a traffic stop on Monday near Plattenville, LA.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 308 and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Branden Joseph Landry. Deputies determined that Branden Landry was driving under a suspended driver’s license and there was a switched license plate on the pick-up truck.
Based on observation made by deputies, a consent to search the vehicle was requested from Branden Joseph Landry. As a result of the search, a quantity of suspected meth-amphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia was seized.
Branden Joseph Landry was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility on charges of:
*Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Driver’s License
*Switched License Plate
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Violation of a Protective Order
The seized contraband was attributed to Nicole Lynn Gros. She was arrested and booked into the parish detention facility on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Branden Joseph Landry remains incarcerated with bond set at $5,600.
Nicole Lynn Gros remains incarcerated with bond set at $7,000.
