TRAFFIC VIOLATION, AGGRAVATED FLIGHT

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Haikeem Thomas, 20, of 188 Highway 401 #B, Napoleonville, LA, on felony flight charges arising out of a Thursday morning pursuit.

A southbound deputy observed a northbound vehicle commit traffic violations and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The suspect fled off at a high rate of speed. The suspect eventually crashed the suspect vehicle. The suspect then attempted to flea again but crashed. Two subjects exited the vehicle and began to run to the rear of a residence.

Deputies were able to arrest two subjects, one of which was the driver. Haikeem Thomas.

Haikeem Thomas was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Resisting an Officer
*Speeding
*Failure to Dim Headlights
*No Driver’s License

Haikeem Thomas remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
