AGGRAVATED BATTERY, CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Cameron Ashley Johnson, 19, of 36359 Belle Journee, Geismar, La., on felony charges following a Tuesday incident near Bertrandville.

Deputies responded to a call on Jacobs Street and made contact with the complainant who advised when he arrived at the residence in question, he observed a vehicle parked in the driveway and the vehicle was occupied by Cameron Ashley Johnson. The complainant advised Cameron Ashley Johnson that as per the complainants’ father, Johnson was not permitted to be on the property.

Cameron Ashley Johnson became angry and attempted to drive out of the driveway striking the complainant. Cameron Ashley Johnson is accused of throwing a rock into the complainant’s windshield.

Warrants were obtained for Johnson’s arrest.

Cameron Ashley Johnson was arrested at the Sheriff’s main office. He was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Aggravated Battery
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property (Felony)

Cameron Ashley Johnson was released on a $25,000 bond.
