TRAFFIC, GUN LAW, VIOLATIONS – FARON MARK LOVELL, II
BAYOU CORNE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Faron Mark Lovell, II, 40, of 136 Coon Road, Boutee, LA, on felony charges following a traffic incident near Bayou Corne on Sunday evening.
Deputies responded to a complaint of a vehicle operating in a reckless manner. Deputies observed the vehicle westbound and initiated an investigative stop. The driver, now identified as Faron Mark Lovell, II, appeared to be nervous and somewhat incoherent.
During the process, deputies observed a handgun in plain view inside the suspect vehicle. A computer inquiry revealed that Lovell was a prior convicted felon and was wanted on a fugitive warrant in St. Charles Parish.
Faron Mark Lovell, II consented to a search of his vehicle. During that search, a quantity of marijuana was seized.
Faron Mark Lovell, II was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*No Driver’s License
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
*Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*Violating Traffic Control Signals
*Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)
*Fugitive Warrant – St. Charles Parish – Simple Criminal Damage to Property
Faron Mark Lovell, II remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
