TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – JAVON TRAYON WALLER
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Javon Trayon Waller following a Saturday afternoon traffic stop near Plattenville, LA.
A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near LA 70 and LA 70 Spur. The officer identified two occupants.
The driver now identified as Javon Trayon Waller exhibited signs consistent with illegal drug activity. During the process, the deputy observed a handgun in plain view.
Javon Trayon Waller consented to a search of his vehicle. During that search, a quantity of marijuana as well as Codeine was recovered. Deputies also recovered assorted drug paraphernalia.
Javon Trayon Waller was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession of Codeine
Javon Trayon Waller was released on a $5,000 bond.
