TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the Monday night arrest of Wade Paul Rives, 38, of 315 Shell Beach Road, Pierre Part, LA, on felony charges following a traffic stop.

A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 70 near Pierre Part.

The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Wade Paul Rives. The deputy interviewed Rives and at some point, conducted a pat down search for officer safety.

In doing, so, the deputy seized an amount of meth-amphetamine off the person of Wade Rives.

Wade Paul Rives was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection
*No Seat Belt

Wade Paul Rives remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
