CRUELTY TO JUVENILES, CHILD DESERTION
TIMA L. LANDRY and PRESTON LEWIS

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tima L. Landry, 32, of 934 Bayou Drive, Pierre Part, LA, on felony charges related to a child abuse complaint.

On February 14, 2020, the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint that a 5-year-old child had been the victim of physical abuse, and the mother, Tima L. Landry and a second individual, her domestic partner identified as Preston Lewis, were suspected in the crime.

Tima Landry was located and agreed to be interviewed. During the course of that interview, Landry implicated herself as well as Lewis in the crime.

Detectives arrested Tima L. Landry and booked her into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Cruelty to Juveniles with Force or Violence
*Child Desertion

Tima Landry was incarcerated with bond set at $70,000.

Warrants were issued for Preston Lewis for counts of:

*Cruelty to Juveniles with Force or Violence
*Child Desertion

Preston Lewis is 26 years of age and resides in the Bertrandville area.
