SHOOTING INCIDENT ON VIOLET ST., LABADIEVILLE, LA
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of four men on Monday afternoon in connection with a shooting incident on Violet Street in Labadieville.
Those arrested are listed as follows:
-Brennan Mitchell, 18, of 121 Highway 1014, Labadieville, La, charged with:
*Attempted Second Degree Murder
*Assault by Drive by Shooting
*Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
Brennan Mitchell’s bond is set at $170,000.
-Wilfred Mitchell, 19, of 519 Paula Drive, Thibodaux, LA, charged with:
*Attempted Second Degree Murder
*Assault by Drive by Shooting
*Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
Wilfred Mitchell’s bond is set at $170,100.
-Joshua Evans Burdis, 22, of 446 Paula Drive, Thibodaux, LA was charged with:
*Attempted Second Degree Murder
*Assault by Drive by Shooting
*Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
Joshua Evans Burdis’ bond is set at$170,000.
The aforementioned suspects are accused of firing a significant amount of rounds from large caliber weapons and striking four homes and two vehicles in the Violet Street area.
It was later determined that the driver of the suspect vehicle had been shot by another individual who fired in self-defense.
The injured suspect was treated at a local hospital.
Landon Shamar Johnson, 22, of 122 Truman Circle, Thibodaux, LA, is believed to be the person who shot into the suspect vehicle in self-defense. He was arrested and booked on a charge of:
*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Landon Shamar Johnson’s bond is set at $25,000.
There were two individuals arrested near the shooting, but not actually involved.
Jamal Lee Starks, 22, of 117 Violet Street, Labadieville, was booked on an outstanding warrant for:
*Distribution of Marijuana
Jamal Lee Starks’ bond is set at $20,000.
Travis Kentrell Williams, 21, of 2476 Highway 308, Thibodaux, LA, was booked on charges of:
*Failure to Appear
Travis Kentrell Williams’ bond was posted at $693.00 and he has been released.
All suspects were booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center awaiting bond proceedings.
