2023 SUGARCANE HARVEST SEASON BEGINS OCTOBER 2ND

NAPOLEONVILLE – On Monday, October 2, 2023, the annual sugarcane grinding season begins at most area mills.

As the harvest season begins, the motoring public can expect a significant increase of large commercial trucks on our roadways while transporting the crop to the mills.

Sheriff Falcon urges everyone to exercise extra caution during this period. While the harvest season is an important time for the parish, we also want it to be a safe time.
