SOCIAL MEDIA/INTERNET SAFETY/BULLYING SEMINAR AT ST. ELIZABETH SCHOOL
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon agrees that, “Bullying” is a major problem in schools throughout the United States, and more concerning is that the issue is occurring much closer to our region.
As a pro-active measure, Sheriff Falcon is having his staff conduct anti-bullying seminars in local schools.
On Thursday, St. Elizabeth School in Paincourtville was center stage for one of those classes.
The issue has become one of national concern as bullying has led to a number of juvenile casualties throughout the country.
There was also instruction provided on social media and internet safety related issues. In-school instruction brings much needed attention to these growing problems.
If you know someone who is a victim of bullying or others who may be doing the bullying, please contact us at (985) 369-2912.
