Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling - Thursday, May 10, 2018

SUBJECT:      SIMPLE BURGLARY OF AN INHABITED DWELLING

LABADIEVILLE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Charles Adam Gros, 32, of 3037 Bayou Dularge Road, Theriot, LA, in connection with the September 12, 2017 burglary of a home near Labadieville, LA.

On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a residential burglary near Labadieville.  Deputies learned that electronics had been stolen from the home following forced entry by suspect(s).

Through investigation, detectives were able to identify Gros as a suspect.  Gros was questioned at the time, but not charged and denied any involvement.

Following additional investigation, detectives secured evidence implicating Gros and a second suspect identified as Brandon Punch, 32, of 3071 Bayou Dularge Road, Theriot, LA, as suspects in the burglary.

Detectives obtained arrest warrants and located Gros in Quachita Parish.  Gros was arrested transported to Assumption Parish and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Wednesday on charges of:

            *Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling (1 Count)

He awaits a bond hearing.

Brandon Punch is currently incarcerated in another jurisdiction.  Upon satisfying those charges, Punch will be transferred to Assumption Parish to face burglary charges.
