Domestic Disturbance / Drug Law Violations - Wednesday, May 9, 2018

NAPOLEONVILLE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the Tuesday arrest of Buddy Verret, 34, of 506 Assumption Street, Napoleonville, LA, on charges related to a domestic disturbance.

On Tuesday morning, deputies were dispatched to the aforementioned address in connection with an individual causing a disturbance and failing to leave.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke to the complainant who indicated that Buddy Verret had been ordered to stay away from the residence.  He was locked in a bathroom refusing to exit.

After repeated demands by deputies, Verret opened the door and as he did so, deputies noted that he appeared to be under the influence.  Deputies also noted and seized a syringe as well as a quantity of suspected heroin.

Verret was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

            *Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

            *Possession of Heroin

            *Entering and Remaining on Premises after Being Forbidden

Verret remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
