Third Degree Rape - Monday, April 30, 2018

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Trey Rentrop, 28, of 121 North 13th Street, Thibodaux, LA, on charges relating to a third-degree rape case.

On Friday, April 27, 2018, Assumption Parish Sheriff’s personnel attempted to execute a warrant on Trey Rentrop for third-degree rape.

As officers converged on Rentrop’s location, he fled into a swampy area of Bayou L’Ourse.  Officers conducted extensive tracking of Rentrop and were able to place him at a St. Charles Parish motel.

On Sunday, officials from Assumption Parish and St. Charles’s Parish Sheriff’s Offices were able to take Trey Rentrop into custody.  Rentrop and three other individuals were booked into the St. Charles Parish Jail to face charges there.

Rentrop will be transported to Assumption Parish to face the third-degree rape charges as well as charges relating to his flight to evade arrest.
