Theft of Automobile - Thursday, April 12, 2018

SUBJECT:      THEFT OF AUTOMOBILE / STEVEN M. BLAINE

 

BERTRANDVILLE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Steven M. Blaine, 35, of 3328 Back Marais Street, Napoleonville, LA, on charges related to the theft of an automobile.

Deputies responded to a complaint related to the theft of an automobile from the St. Benedict Catholic Church in Bertrandville.

Upon arrival, the complainant reported that she had parked the automobile at the location and rode with a friend for a period of time.  When the victim arrived to pick up her car, it was gone.

A deputy on patrol in the Labadieville area spotted the car and executed a traffic stop.  The driver, Steven M. Blaine was arrested, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where he was booked on charges of:

            *Theft of an Automobile (1 Count)

Blaine remains incarcerated and awaits a bond hearing.
