Water Patrol - Monday, March 26, 2018

ASSUMPTION PARISH – Sheriff Leland Falcon reports that the Sheriff’s Water Patrol responded to a number of calls related to the NO WAKE ZONE, one boating crash and one rough water rescue.

The rough water rescue occurred on Lake Verret on Saturday and was due to brisk winds.  No one was injured.

A Sunday afternoon boating crash occurred on Belle River and was a two-vessel collision.  There were no injuries.  The crash was investigated by Wildlife and Fisheries.

Sheriff Falcon reminds boaters to practice safety and know the weather conditions.

We also remind everyone that the NO WAKE ZONE is in effect and will remain until water levels recede.  Please be observant.
