Computer Aided Solicitation of Minors - Wednesday, March 21, 2018

SUBJECT:      COMPUTER AIDED SOLICITATION OF MINORS – TIMOTHY HARRIS

 

NAPOLEONVILLE - Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Timothy Harris, 27, of 1301 Hwy. 402, Naploeonville, LA, on charges related to social media crimes.

The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation on or about March 19, 2018 regarding possible sex crimes committed upon a child.

During that investigation, detectives came into possession of evidence that Timothy Harris had solicited minors for sexual purposes via the internet.

Based on that evidence, Harris was arrested on March 20, 2018 and charged with:

            *Computer Aided Solicitation of Minors

Harris remains in the Assumption Parish Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

There are other serious allegations against Harris which detectives are sorting through.  Detectives have indicated that additional charges against Harris are possible.
