Traffic Stop / Drug Law Violations - Thursday, March 1, 2018

SUBJECT:      TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

TESSA M. PILGRIM and KAY LYNN MICHEL

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tessa Michelle Pilgrim, 39, of 111 Ann Street, Bayou L’Ourse and Kay Lynn Michel, 37, of 109 Elaine Street, Bayou L’Ourse, on drug law violations in the Bayou L’Ourse, LA area.

Narcotics agents observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in Bayou L’Ourse on Tuesday night.

Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Tessa Michelle Pilgrim.  Agents interviewed her and then interviewed Kay Lynn Michel. 

As a result of the interviews of Pilgrim and Michel, consent was obtained to search the vehicle.  Deputies recovered a quantity of meth-amphetamine and paraphernalia belonging to Michel resulting in her arrest.

Deputies requested permission, which was granted to search the residence of Tessa Pilgrim.  Deputies seized quantities of meth-amphetamine and hydrocodone.

Michel was booked on counts of:

            *Possession of drug Paraphernalia

            *Possession of Meth-Amphetamine with Intent to Distribute

Her bond was set at $35,000.

Pilgrim was booked on counts of:

            *Possession of Meth-Amphetamine

            *Possession of Hydrocodone

Her bond was set at $25,000.

Both remain incarcerated.
