Home Invasion - Tuesday, February 20, 2018

SUBJECT:      HOME INVASION CHARLETTA DESHA RICHARD

 

BERTRANDVILLE Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Charletta Desha Richard, 28, of 107 Pugh Street, Paincourtville, LA, in connection with a January 28, 2018 home invasion in Bertrandville, LA.

Investigating Officers responded to the complaint at a residence near Bertrandville, LA.  Deputies interviewed the victim and other witnesses and were able to establish that Richard and Cathy Coreyell Phillip, 24, of 115 Pugh Street, Paincourtville, LA, had entered a residence and ransacked the home causing extensive damages. 

Deputies applied for and were granted arrest warrants for both Richard and Phillip.

Phillip was arrested earlier and remains in custody.

Richard was arrested late Saturday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

            *Home Invasion (Felony)

            *Simple Criminal Damage to Property (Felony)

            *Disturbing the Peace

            *Criminal Trespass

Richard was jailed pending a bond hearing.
